The Bethel Bible Series was developed by Rev. Harley Swiggum, pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison, Wisconsin , to address the same need he saw within his own congregation. Since its launch in 1961 Bethel Bible Series has travelled from Korea to Russia, China to South Africa, Ireland to Australia, and Costa Rica to Germany. Developing more than 500,000 trained teachers from over 47 denominations.
 
Here in Australia we have had the privilege to help over 1200 churches and more than 60,000 members, avail themselves of Bethel, and other adult education materials. As we approach our 47th year of operation (2024) we invite your church to consider beginning the journey of studying the scriptures, encountering the Living Christ, and develop new ways of sharing the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Introduction to 'The Bethel Series' by Dr Harley Swiggum
There are 20 lessons in each Testament. The course includes pre lesson assignments, quizzes and for those wanting to be accredited teachers open book exams. All participants can undertake the exams as a way of challenging themselves.
The assignments prepare students for the upcoming lesson. There will be opportunity participate by reading the bible for the class, preparing an activity to share, offer the class joke. A timetable of zoom lessons will be provided for your planning.
Each Testament’s course material costs $90 (excl. GST) plus postage.
We can also supply the course by 3 installments of $30 (excl. GST) plus postage. We send the course in 3 posts of 7-6-7 lessons and invoice accordingly.
An affiliation form is required to ensure no GST is charged.
